Eddie Wehrman (1904-1945) Machine Shop – The New Bremen Rubber Company was started in 1936 in the former Auglaize Furniture Company (1912-1929) building at the corner of Plum and Herman St. They manufactured rubber toys, baby pants and rubber gloves. After several name changes, including Seiberling Latex Products, the business left New Bremen in 1967 for Oklahoma City, where they ceased operation in the 1970's.
